how can acupuncture help my dog or cat?
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine which uses tiny needles applied to specific points on the body to produce a therapeutic effect. It is a very safe medical procedure, and may produce immediate relief or require a series of treatments, depending on the condition being treated. Integrative Medicine means that we use Western Medicine theories together with Alternative Medicine treatments like acupuncture to provide maximum benefit to the patient.
Acupuncture may be beneficial for (but not limited to) the following conditions:
Musculoskeletal Issues: Back Pain, Osteoarthritis/Degenerative Joint Disease
Neurological Disorders: Seizures, IVDD, Laryngeal Hemiplegia, Paralysis
Gastrointestinal Disorders: Vomiting, Diarrhea, Constipation
Dermatology (Skin) Issues: Allergies, Otitis (ear infections)
Other Chronic Conditions: Kidney Failure, Liver Disease, Geriatric Weakness, Endocrine Diseases (thyroid/adrenal), Coughing
Management of Cancer
Quality of life comfort and Hospice care
